Symbols Study Resources

The Lord often teaches through symbols, parables, or figurative language. Some of the reasons for this are as follows:

  1. It required an active part of the listener to complete the meaning. If it’s stated that Jesus is the Lamb of God, one would need to know something about lambs and sacrifice to complete the meaning.

  2. Spiritual truths can also be represented by the symbol that is only revealed by the spirit.

  3. Once a truth is revealed, the symbol can serve as a consistent reminder of that truth.

Tabernacle Study Guide - This booklet contains a number of lessons and scripture references about the Tabernacle and the symbols that are present throughout.

The following links provide information and insight into several of the symbols associated with the Tabernacle that point to Christ. Links to videos within the section are provided by and with the permission of Messages of Christ, Daniel Smith.
